Job Overview

eVAC Magnetics LLC, a member of VAC Group, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong focus on recruitment to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
  1. Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead the recruitment process for all levels of manufacturing positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
  2. Talent Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain relationships with local technical schools, recruitment agencies, and community organizations to build a talent pipeline.
  3. Job Posting Creation: Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop job postings that attract high-quality candidates.
  4. Salary Benchmarking: Assist with salary benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitive compensation for new positions.
  5. Candidate Management: Conduct candidate interviews and manage the selection process, including administering assessments and reference/background checks.
  6. Onboarding Process: Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • HR Generalist Duties:
  1. Employee Relations: Assist in employee relations by handling inquiries, concerns, and resolving issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  2. Performance Management: Support performance management initiatives, including coaching, feedback, and employee evaluations.
  3. Employee Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefit programs, answer employee questions, and resolve any issues.
  4. HR Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate HR records in compliance with state and federal laws, including new hire documentation, terminations, and employee changes.
  5. Training and Development: Partner with supervisors and managers to assess employee training and development needs and assist with implementation.
  6. Offboarding Process: Facilitate offboarding processes, including exit interviews, to gain insights for improving employee retention.
  7. Termination Procedures: Ensure proper termination procedures are followed, including final pay, benefits continuation, and proper documentation.
  8. Internal Communication: Assist with internal communication strategies to ensure employees are well-informed about HR policies, benefits, and company initiatives.
  • Compliance and Policies:
  1. Labor Laws Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  2. HR Policy Implementation: Contribute to updating, implementing, and enforcing HR policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive workplace.
  3. Leave Programs Administration: Assist with the administration of leave programs, such as FMLA and workers' compensation.
  • Workforce Planning and Engagement:
  1. Workforce Planning: Collaborate with department leaders to anticipate and plan for future workforce needs.
  2. Employee Engagement: Assist in developing and executing employee engagement programs that aim to improve retention and productivity.
  3. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting:
  1. Recruitment Metrics Tracking: Track and report recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, retention rates) and use data to drive improvement in recruiting efforts.
  2. HR Reporting: Assist in preparing reports on HR activities and workforce trends to present to leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a recruitment-focused HR role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of recruiting strategies, with hands-on experience in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for technical and hourly positions.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
