Job Summary

This position is responsible for handling inbound phone calls to assist patients with billing inquiries, ensuring all incoming lines are covered. The ideal candidate will have excellent mathematical skills, computer skills, and G suite application skills. They will also be able to adapt/respond to patient escalation issues, prioritize and manage multiple workflows and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer multi-line phones for the billing department.
  • Cross-train in authorizations, insurance verification, and payment posting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal with patients regarding sensitive financial matters.
  • Receive and resolve patient billing complaints and questions.
  • Make appropriate financial arrangements for payment of patient accounts.
  • Document calls with patients in practice management system.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid Insurance guidelines.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented and fast-paced environment.
