About the Role

OneWell is seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team in providing exceptional behavioral therapy services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and a passion for delivering evidence-based practices to promote positive behavioral outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of participants, including gathering information through interviews, observations, and the use of standardized assessment tools.
  • Analyze behavior patterns to determine the underlying causes of challenging behaviors, examining antecedents, behaviors, and consequences to develop a functional understanding of the behavior.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment results, outlining specific strategies and techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote the acquisition of new skills.
  • Oversee the implementation of behavior intervention plans, training and guiding direct support professionals and caregivers, and monitoring progress.
  • Collect and analyze data on behavior change to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making data-driven decisions to modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to treatment, including providing crisis prevention intervention training to direct support professionals and caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.

Requirements

  • BCBA Certification
  • Experience working with individuals with IDD, preferably within the New Jersey DDD system
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and evidence-based practices for working with individuals with IDD
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and work effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Adherence to the ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
