About the Role

We're seeking a team-focused and results-oriented Survey Technician Intern to join our Geospatial Services team. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to conduct traditional survey activities, assist with the use of leading-edge geospatial technology, and learn basic survey fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting survey support for municipal, transportation, and aviation-related projects
  • Assisting with traditional survey activities, including utilizing digital level to set high accuracy elevations on project control and benchmarks
  • Supporting operations using traditional land surveying tools (GPS/Total Stations) to complete topographic mapping surveys
  • Aiding construction staking efforts essential to accurate construction operations
  • Providing field support for 3D scanning and sUAS (Drone) operations
  • Learning basic survey fundamentals, including topography surveys and legal boundary staking
  • Data extraction support associated with drone and mobile LIDAR scanning technology
Requirements

Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field at an accredited technical college or university
