At Johns Hopkins HealthCare, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Diagnostic Radiography Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct radiographic examinations on patients, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Lift and position patients on examination tables to achieve desired radiographic results.
  • Determine technical factors such as voltage, current, and exposure time based on patient size and condition.
  • Adjust lead shields to protect unaffected parts of the patient's anatomy.
  • Select and load proper film, positioning X-ray equipment at the correct distance and operating it according to specific diagnostic procedures.
  • Operate portable X-ray equipment and use special equipment such as tomography.
  • Verify patient films, examination requisitions, and records are properly completed.
  • Process film, reload cassettes, and review developed film for quality.
  • Check equipment and accessories to ensure proper operation, reporting any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Transport patients as required and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Satisfactory completion of Radiography program from an AMA accredited Radiography school.
  • At least two years of experience as a Radiation Technologist.
  • Florida State Radiography License.
  • Certification from ARRT required.
  • BLS CPR certification required.
