Job Summary:

Riverview Behavioral Health, a division of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a skilled Clinical Admissions Specialist to facilitate admissions, clinical intake assessments, and utilization review processes. The successful candidate will be a confident clinical professional responsible for ensuring continuity of care for patients and their benefit utilization.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate intake, admission, and utilization review processes for incoming patients.
  • Perform insurance benefit verifications and disseminate information to patients, families, and internal staff.
  • Provide accurate and ongoing assessments of patient status in the admission and utilization process.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and financial needs, and implement crisis intervention and referral.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Therapeutic Counseling, Behavioral Science, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience in managed care pre-certification processes, level of care assessments, and utilization.
  • Current licensure, as required for the area of clinical specialty.
  • CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required.
