About the Role

The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and service at Community Health Network. This position works closely with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure seamless administrative support for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check patients in for appointments and collect payments
  • Answer telephones and take accurate messages
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals
  • Verify and update patient demographic information in our electronic medical record system
  • Post and balance payments collected
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment or 2 years of customer service experience
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Good judgment for maintaining confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Intranet and Internet usage, Excel, Word, and web-based applications
