Job Summary:

Sanmina Corporation is a leading integrated manufacturing solutions provider serving the fastest-growing segments of the global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) market. We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Process Engineering to lead our plant-wide process capability development and yield improvement initiatives in a complex high mix, mid volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead plant-wide process capability development and yield improvement initiatives
  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians focused on performance
  • Establish technical priorities and support development of plant quality systems
  • Utilize advanced quality tools such as FMEAs, DOE's, SPC and process modeling
  • Analyze data, identify opportunities and lead cross functional teams to implement robust processes
  • Work with team to define process capabilities, process instructions, operator instructions, control plans and continuous improvements initiatives
  • Collaborate with peers in operations, quality and maintenance organizations to ensure cross functional solutions and mutual support
  • Participate and may lead operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement and capability advancement
  • Work effectively with equipment manufacturers and material suppliers to identify opportunities to improve yields and capability
  • Participate in the development of intellectual property
  • Lead customer calls and visits as required

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related engineering discipline. MS preferred
  • Process engineering experience in printed circuit board or semiconductor manufacturing is a plus but not required
  • 5 years of demonstrated people management skills leading an engineering team comprised of both senior and junior engineers
  • Strong technical acumen, attention to detail and the ability to solve problems and clearly communicate topics of high technical content across various audiences
  • Results oriented with a strong business sense and ability to weigh all relevant options when making and recommending actions to the organization
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Experienced with the use of advanced statistical tools
  • Strong communication and leadership skills required, must have the ability to provide clear direction to staff and positively influence peer group
  • Comfortable and capable of working directly with customers
  • Well versed in developing technical presentations and tailoring for the audience
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
