Job Overview

At Door Systems Inc., we are seeking a skilled Experienced Lock and Access Hardware Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial locking hardware, automatic door operators, and other specialized hardware configurations.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $30-$45 per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have excellent mechanical aptitude, strong time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience with low-voltage systems, including the ability to use a multimeter to take voltage and ohm readings while troubleshooting. They will also be able to use hand tools, power tools, and wood chisels to perform door adjustments and replacements. Additionally, they will need to have a strong understanding of Life Safety, ADA, and Fire Codes, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a current valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a locksmith is highly desirable, as is certification as a Certified Professional Locksmith.
