Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Seafood Sales Associate to join our team at 99 Ranch Market. This part-time/full-time position offers a competitive salary of $17 per hour and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Display and Merchandising: Set up fresh seafood cases, ensure proper signage, and maintain a visually appealing display to drive sales in the department.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance: Keep aisles and common walking areas clean and clear of debris to prevent injuries.
  • Replenishment: Unload and break down deliveries, refill products to meet customer needs, and rotate stock for freshness.
  • Processing: Skin, clean, and cut fish upon customer request, fry and steam seafood products as needed, and maintain equipment cleanliness.
  • Logistics: Use equipment correctly and maintain accurate logs according to company policies and state food safety regulations.
  • Stocking: Stock, ship, and distribute product items to production teams, following the First-In First-Out (FIFO) method.
  • Customer Service: Proactively engage with customers, provide excellent service, and respond to their needs.
  • Inventory Management: Work with team members to conduct monthly inventory counts.
  • Fish Tank Maintenance: Clean seafood tanks and replace appliances regularly to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Cleaning: Follow company policy to clean the walk-in cooler and freezer, sanitize display cases, scales, and counters safely.
  • Quality Control: Inspect seafood products, remove unmarketable items, and maintain the overall appeal of the department.
  • Sales: Cut, wrap, and pack items accurately and efficiently upon customer request.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous seafood department experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with general seafood product lines or similar experience.
  • Schedule: Availability to work weekends, holidays, or rotating schedules.
