Job Title: Insurance Investigations Director

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 per annum.

The State of Washington's Office of the Insurance Commissioner is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Investigations Director to lead our team of investigators. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all investigations related to health care sharing ministries, fraudulent ERISA plans, and other regulatory compliance matters.

About the Role:
  • Develop and revise policies and procedures for investigations
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of staff and agency resources
  • Oversee a team of investigators, providing guidance, coaching, and recognition
  • Determine and adjust schedules for assigned staff
  • Conduct supervisory fact-findings

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, the ability to train other investigators, interpret and apply state and federal regulations and laws, and write and speak clearly, concisely, accurately, and informatively.

Requirements:
  • At least 9 years of experience as an investigator or equivalent in a law enforcement or regulatory agency, or in the insurance industry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
