Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and diverse Field Services Intern to join our team as a Testing and Commissioning Intern. This is a temporary position operating within the guidelines established under the DoD SkillBridge requirements. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced TRC Commissioning leads and have the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon successful completion of the SkillBridge program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Testing and commissioning of protective relays for electrical transmission and distribution substations.
  • Working under supervision to test and verify substation protection and control system functionality.
  • Becoming familiar with various types of test equipment.
  • Becoming familiar with testing and commissioning processes and procedures.
  • Reading and interpreting design drawings to understand engineering design and confirm intent.
  • Must have strong electrical fundamental understanding.
Requirements
  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty.
  • Is within 12 months of separation or retirement.
  • Will receive an honorable discharge.
  • Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
  • Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented person.
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
  • Willing to work overtime and travel out of town weekly.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
