About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Dialysis Nurse Specialist to join our team at Children's Health (Dallas). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families.

Job Summary

The Pediatric Dialysis Nurse Specialist will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children requiring dialysis treatment. This role involves coordinating patient care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care, including planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting self-management and independence
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, including physicians, nurses, dietitians, and social workers
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a focus on pediatric nursing or a related field
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
  • At least 3 years of experience in pediatric dialysis nursing, with a strong understanding of peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
