Job Summary

The Brookhaven Christian Child Dev. Center seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate educational programs that align with our center's standards and best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive teaching team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and socialization.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders through regular communication, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all center policies, state regulations, and industry standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments through ongoing training and professional growth opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to work well with others.
  • Certifications: Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels, and perform other physical tasks as required.
