Maestra Music, a pioneering organization dedicated to supporting women and nonbinary individuals in the musical theater field, seeks an accomplished Chief Arts Strategist to drive its mission forward. Maestra Music is committed to providing support, visibility, and community to women and nonbinary professionals who make music in the musical theater industry. Our membership comprises talented composers, music directors, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, rehearsal pianists, and other musicians who are underrepresented in the field. We offer a range of initiatives, including monthly educational seminars, mentorship programs, technical skills workshops, networking events, and online resources and partnerships that aim to promote equality of opportunity and address historical disadvantages and practices that have limited women and nonbinary composers and musicians in the musical theater.

Responsibilities:
The Chief Arts Strategist will be expected to provide direction and leadership toward the development and achievement of Maestra Music's philosophy, mission, vision, strategy, and annual goals and objectives. This includes establishing and nurturing a great working relationship with the Founder, Board of Directors, Staff, and Constituents. The ideal candidate will also support an organizational culture that measures the efficacy and impact of all services and programs in pursuit of constant process improvement. Additionally, they will manage Maestra's Staff with clarity, decisiveness, and a philosophy of team-building that promotes an environment of mutual respect, empowerment, and trust throughout the organization. The Chief Arts Strategist will guide strategic thought to identify opportunities for greater advocacy and support for women and nonbinary professionals in the musical theater industry.

This position offers a salary range of $120,000 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package relevant to an organization of its size and history.
