Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Staff Nurse on our 6 South Surgical Oncology Unit at the McCandless location. This is a part-time position working 24 hours a week.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. Your expertise and leadership skills will enable you to mentor new staff members and contribute to unit-wide initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment.
  • Formulate daily goals and a plan of care for patients that involves the patient as partner and considers the individual needs of the patient in a holistic manner.
  • Practice solid communication skills, and articulate and translate the patient's condition to other care providers and negotiate and make recommendations for changes in patient care and unit practices.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
  • Minimum 2 years experience.
  • BSN preferred.
