Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist at SCL Health, you will be part of a team committed to providing patient-centered care while demonstrating our values of Integrity, Trust, Excellence, Accountability, and Mutual Respect. We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Colorado.

Responsibilities:

Perform, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol.
Obtain arterial gases and oversee the operation of equipment for optimal patient care.
Initiate Respiratory Protocol according to department criteria and make recommendations for patient care.
Administer medications in a timely and safe manner and evaluate the effect of interventions.
Communicate patient information with physicians and nurses and maintain awareness of assigned patient's overall condition.

Requirements:

Graduate of an AMA-approved program for Respiratory Therapy is required.
One year of hospital experience, including critical care, as a Therapist is required.
Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Colorado is required.
Ability to obtain Respiratory Therapist License in the state of Montana is required.

Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate of $60.00/hr.
Flat rate pay with no benefits eligibility.

Physical Requirements:

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
