Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at First Presbyterian Church Fort Worth. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and maintenance of our facilities, grounds, and equipment.

This is a full-time position working a rotating schedule, including some weekends and overtime as needed. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our team to provide a welcoming and safe environment for our community and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repair of all exterior and interior facilities and equipment
  • Maintain the church grounds, including ensuring outdoors are clean and safe; moving event signage; power washing; and cleaning walkways and parking
  • Responsible for all facility-related issues, such as building security, setup and breakdown for events, cleaning, and maintenance of church vehicles
  • Monitor and report inventory levels of supplies and equipment
  • Route deliveries, as directed, to final destinations within the building
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • General labor experience, utilizing generally accepted construction and repair procedures and materials, in the areas of carpentry, painting, ventilation, or related trades
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving (MVR) record
  • Experience in church life, regardless of denomination, is desirable
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent movement throughout buildings, properties, and levels, and ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, twist, squat, crawl, push/pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly using proper lifting techniques.

The work environment is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor activities in varying weather conditions. Frequent exposure to bodily fluids, illness-causing bacteria and viruses, dust, cleaning supplies, or other particles are expected.

You will also be required to adapt to workplace stressors like noise, emergent situations, and competing priorities while maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the facilities.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and more.
