About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Responsibilities

  • You will use your expertise in nursing to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Anticipate and respond to changes in patient conditions, status, and need for care by taking proactive actions and collaborating with other healthcare team members.
  • Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase safety by assessing readiness to learn and developing approaches tailored to individual needs.
  • Closely coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach, applying evidence-based practice to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes and take action when necessary to improve processes and patient experiences.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues through effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Promote a culture of safety by identifying threats to patient safety and intervening to prevent harm, reporting incidents and near misses in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives to enhance department functions and patient experiences.
  • Engage in professional development activities that contribute to personal growth and the advancement of others.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, recognizing the principles of growth and development across the lifespan.

Requirements

  • A registered nurse license issued by the state where you practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in clinical nursing.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with diverse individuals.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $75,000-$95,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development, is also offered.
