Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer Specialist to join our IT team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

About the Role

The Network Security Engineer Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining firewall solutions to protect our network infrastructure. This will involve configuring network and firewall equipment, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network security.

You will also lead the transition from Cisco firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring minimal disruption to network services. Additionally, you will monitor and respond to firewall alerts and incidents, perform regular firewall audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security policies, collaborate with IT teams to design and deploy network security solutions, provide technical support and troubleshooting for firewall-related issues, and develop and maintain documentation for firewall configurations and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly Clearance
  • CompTIA Security + CE Certification
  • Preferred Additional Skills: Any of the following certifications CCNA or Network + PCNSA PSNSE Experience with DOD encryption devices Self-motivated, able to switch tasks easily, work independently Strong troubleshooting skills Familiarity with network automation (Ansible)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the estimated salary for this role is $112,750. This amount is based on industry standards and takes into account factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. L3Harris offers a range of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. These benefits are subject to change and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
