Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Real Estate Appraisal Expert to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our appraisal team, you will be responsible for preparing market value appraisals on assets with review by a Managing Director.

About the Role:

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work independently on complex real estate projects, utilizing your expertise in valuation methods and techniques to deliver high-quality appraisal reports. You will also contribute to the development of our company's knowledge base and participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify the scope of the project and discuss the appraisal request with clients to ensure a clear understanding of their needs.
  • Select the most appropriate valuation approach and techniques to value properties, taking into account factors such as market conditions and property characteristics.
  • Analyze property data, including sales and listings, vacancies, and offerings, to inform your appraisal report.
  • Prepare comprehensive appraisal reports that clearly outline your analysis and conclusions, providing detailed descriptions of physical and economic property characteristics.
  • Stay current with industry developments and updates by participating in professional development opportunities and staying informed about relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required, while a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of commercial appraisal experience and 3 years of review experience are necessary, with institutional review experience being an added advantage.
  • Candidates must hold General State Certification/License and MAI designation.
  • Proficiency in Argus, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel is essential, along with strong writing skills.
  • Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
