Job Summary:

The Patient Service Representative 3 (PSR 3) plays a vital role in the daily operation of the practice or department. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, support of one or more of the following processes: patient registration, patient check-out, charge entry, referrals, and/or diagnostic precertification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Support the registration and check-out process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Enter charges and process referrals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with diagnostic precertification, ensuring seamless communication with providers and payers.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in the medical field preferred, but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of general office equipment and software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide great customer service under stressful situations.
