Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Actively participate in direct patient care, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
  • Preparation and Setup: Prepare the operating room and equipment by opening sterile supplies and instrumentation for procedures.
  • Assisting Surgeons: Anticipate the needs of the surgeon, providing assistance with specific and safe positioning of the patient on the operating table.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain sterile technique, apply principles of infection control and medical ethics, and participate in clinical quality improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Graduate of an accredited school of allied health services preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid certificate from Surgical Technologist program preferred; Current BLS certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years continuous experience in an operating room required.
