We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Arkansas Heart Hospital. As a key member of our operating room team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Actively participate in direct patient care, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
- Preparation and Setup: Prepare the operating room and equipment by opening sterile supplies and instrumentation for procedures.
- Assisting Surgeons: Anticipate the needs of the surgeon, providing assistance with specific and safe positioning of the patient on the operating table.
- Quality and Safety: Maintain sterile technique, apply principles of infection control and medical ethics, and participate in clinical quality improvement activities.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Graduate of an accredited school of allied health services preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid certificate from Surgical Technologist program preferred; Current BLS certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of three years continuous experience in an operating room required.
