Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting security systems, including intrusion alarm systems, access control, CCTV, intercom, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and verify security-related equipment for large installations
  • Complete "As Built" drawings upon project completion
  • Consult with clients to assess risk and determine security requirements
  • Participate in rotation on-call schedule
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of equipment application, compatibility, mounting techniques, programming, and testing
  • Massachusetts Low Voltage Class D License
  • 300 hours of Board-approved education, 15hr Continuing Education Code-Update Class, and 4000 clock hours systems work experience over not less than 2 years under the direct supervision of a Massachusetts Systems Technician or Journeyman electrician
  • Preference given to those with IT standards and network topology experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the implementation of analog, hybrid, and IP CCTV systems, access control systems, intercom systems, wireless, intrusion systems, and fire alarm systems
  • Working knowledge of local and national codes for inspection and test purposes
  • Demonstrated ability to program basic operations on micro-processor based systems without supervision
  • Proficient in the operation of computers and knowledgeable on MS operating systems (including Windows 2000 Server)
