Program Director for Southwest Conservation Corps

We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead our adult programs at Southwest Conservation Corps. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the administrative and logistical details of all adult programs, serving as the information/communication hub for program staff, overseeing operational support of crews, providing support to crews in the field, and maintaining timely and effective communication with project partners.
About the Role:- You will manage the execution and overall quality of adult programming and operations within the Los Valles region.
- You will supervise program staff, ensure programs are effective and efficient, and work closely with project partners at federal land management agencies, municipalities, and non-profits to design and schedule programs and projects for our participants.
- You will work closely with Southwest Conservation Corps and Conservation Legacy Central staff to ensure invoices and reports are timely and accurate.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise adult program staff.
- Set expectations and provide feedback in performance evaluations, goal setting, and professional development planning for each full-time and seasonal staff member supervised.
- Support all adult programs to ensure quality programming and a positive member experience.
- Collaborate with senior program directors and youth program managers to establish strategy, vision, and overall direction for all Los Valles programs and partnerships.
- Serve as the backup to senior program directors in leading the Los Valles program during absences, vacations, or when they are focused on other priorities.
- Foster a collaborative and consistent approach to organization-wide program delivery.
- Five years of experience in a year-round supervisory or management position with a conservation corps program or similar program.
- Ability to effectively work on diverse teams or with a variety of populations, including those underrepresented at our organization and those of BIPOC communities.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and capacity to work in a fluid, changing work environment.
- Ability to carry out assigned work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively, manage complexity cultivate innovation, drive and influence results of oneself and others.
- A competitive salary range is between $71,900 - $74,057 per year.
