At Gift of Life Donor Program, we are seeking an experienced Ocular Tissue Recovery Specialist to join our team in Hershey. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in recovering eye and cornea tissues from donors while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. They will be responsible for:

  • Recovering eye and cornea tissues from donors in a safe and controlled environment
  • Maintaining strict adherence to FDA, EBAA, AATB guidelines, and Gift of Life Standard Operating Procedures
  • Collaborating with the team to implement quality improvement initiatives and enhance recovery processes

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ocular tissue recovery procedures, adhering to established protocols and guidelines
  • Conduct thorough documentation and reporting of recovery activities
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements
  • Certificate or degree from an accredited surgical technology training program or related health field
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to maintain a rotating call schedule, including weekends and holidays
