Job Overview: At U.S. Farathane, we are seeking an experienced Tool Maintenance Specialist - Plastics Manufacturing to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our plastic injection molds and tools. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing tool build and repair support to achieve high levels of productivity, quality, and safety, thereby ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain tools in optimal operating condition by performing regular maintenance activities and making minor engineering changes as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to identify and resolve tool-related issues promptly.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement changes to enhance tool performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with process engineers, plant engineers, and the tech center to ensure seamless integration of tooling and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of tool repairs and changes.
  • Follow all internal and OSHA required safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic injection mold maintenance and repair.
  • Experience in operating various machinery equipment, including overhead cranes.
  • Ability to read tooling prints, hydraulic, and electrical circuit prints and diagrams.
  • Technical training and/or experience in CNC, EDM, and Mill.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 35lbs frequently and work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, and vacation time.
