Trades Technician Lead

Job Summary:
Tidewater Community College seeks a skilled Trades Technician Lead to oversee campus facilities management staff and act as the campus facilities manager in the absence of the assigned Facilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train employees in facilities maintenance activities.
- Conduct day-to-day activities related to installation of new work, maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of all campus facilities and infrastructure.
- Provide general guidance and supervision to the Facilities maintenance staff in Facilities managers' absence.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security operations.
- Manage Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Work Order management, Preventative Maintenance, and Inventory Management.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and skills in a specific building trade.
- Experience at the journeyman level in one of the buildings trades.
- Valid driver's license.
- State Certification in one of the buildings trades (preferred).
