Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Texas Health Dallas. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Surgery department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing peri-operative care for patients of all ages, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Assist the RN circulator in formulating a plan of care and coordinating patient care peri-operatively.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for behavior in order to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
  • Follow proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Under supervision, assist the RN circulator with post-operative duties.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, vocational nurse program, or completion of a military training program in surgical technology.
  • One year of current Ophthalmology experience preferred.
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical tech program.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
