Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician provides essential services for equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring optimal performance in our manufacturing facility. This role is perfect for individuals with a strong background in mechanical skills and ability to work accurately and thoroughly.

About the Job

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to read product specifications and hydraulic/electrical schematics. Some technical or vocational training is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Services and Repairs:
    • Prepare work by studying assembly and repair instructions, schematic specifications, and parts lists.
    • Gather relevant parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials per instructions.
    • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
    • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit.
    • Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Resolve mechanical equipment problems through troubleshooting, diagnostic procedures, and completing repairs per preauthorized specifications.
    • Identify faulty components during repairs and confirm functionality before proceeding.
  • Preventive Maintenance & Safety:
    • Maintain equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
    • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Physical Demands: Regularly lift 30-50 pounds, possess manual dexterity, and perform repetitive tasks.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This non-exempt position requires a commitment to quality and teamwork, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals who value hard work and collaboration.
