Job Summary:As a Perfusionist with Nuvance Health, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective perfusion services to patients undergoing cardiac surgery. This includes operating and maintaining perfusion equipment, administering medications and blood components, and monitoring patient vital signs.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain perfusion equipment, including pumps, oxygenators, and heat exchangers.
Administer medications and blood components to patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective perfusion services.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Graduate of a Cardiovascular Perfusion program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education (AC-PE).
Three years of perfusion experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) certification.
Licensed Perfusionist under Article 134 of the NYS Education Law.
