Parking and Transportation Services Director

The Director of Parking and Transportation Services is responsible for developing, planning, implementing, and administering a comprehensive parking and transportation program for North Carolina A&T State University campus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement parking and transportation policies and programs
  • Provide strategic organizational leadership, fiscal oversight, and operational implementation
  • Manage personnel, including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and professional development
  • Represent Parking and Transportation Services and Campus Enterprises on various committees, task forces, and organizations
  • Adjudicate difficult cases, appeals process, and resolve customer complaints
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Urban or Transportation Planning, Public Administration, or related field
  • At least seven years of progressive parking and transportation management experience, with at least five years in a university setting
  • Experience with transportation demand management (TDM) and parking management software
  • Project Management certification and/or experience with design and construction of parking structures and lots
  • Process improvement certification or experience
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives related to parking and transportation services
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP)
  • Certified Parking Professional (CPP) by NPA
