Job Summary

The Windsor County State's Attorney's Office is seeking a highly organized and dependable individual to fill a SAS Secretary position. This full-time role will provide secretarial support to the State's Attorney's staff, working under the direction of the Administrative Assistant.

The successful candidate will have the ability to travel within and/or to other counties for work-related duties and training. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced clerical work and secretarial support to the State's Attorney, Deputy State's Attorneys, and other staff
  • Prepare letters, correspondence, forms, and documents
  • Answer telephone, emails, and in-person inquiries
  • Handle or refer requests for assistance in accordance with policies
  • Perform tasks under deadlines and maintain a positive and respectful attitude
Requirements
  • High School diploma, GED, or completion of vocational/technical training program in office administration
  • Minimum of 2 years of secretarial experience in a professional office setting
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of Vermont's court procedures and IT systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
Working Conditions

Duties are normally performed in an office setting with limited travel required. The position requires prolonged periods of typing and sitting, with occasional work outside normal hours.
