About the Role:

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a skilled Construction Safety Loss Control Consultant to join our team on a per-assignment/quarterly basis. This role will involve conducting safety/loss control risk inspections on multi-year construction projects in the educational/university business sector.

This is a W-2 position, and the successful candidate will be required to meet our U.S. Eligibility requirements for work authorization.

The position pays $50/hour and requires moderate travel, including possible overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct multi-line and/or specialty loss and operational analysis to achieve successful implementation of complex risk improvement programs.
  • Contribute to business growth and retention goals by ensuring client risk improvement needs are addressed.
  • Provide on-call technical support via phone, email, or teleconference to clients and their operations teams.
  • Perform periodic onsite inspections and audits of customer sites to evaluate compliance with safety management, environmental health and safety, and risk management plans.
  • Review metrics related to safety and health.
  • Conduct safety meetings with operations teams at various construction site project locations.
  • Prepare evaluation reports to identify potential health and safety compliance risks and liabilities.
About You:

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in safety, risk, or insurance, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and safety management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety training and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel by automobile and aircraft are also required.
