Host/Hostess Job Description

At Miller's Ale House, we're looking for a friendly and energetic Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll set the tone for their dining experience and ensure they feel welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets guests with a warm smile and ensures they feel welcome
  • Manages seating arrangements to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience
  • Supports servers and other front-of-house team members to ensure exceptional guest service
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace, including the entrance area and restrooms
  • Communicates effectively with guests, team members, and management to ensure seamless service
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic reading and handwriting skills, with the ability to operate our front door seating software
  • Must be at least 18 years old (unless otherwise dictated by state law)
Physical Demands:
  • Remains standing and walking for extended periods
  • Reaches, bends, squats, and lifts up to 20 pounds for short distances
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment with varying noise levels
