Job Summary
The surveyor position demands physical stamina and the ability to work in diverse outdoor environments. You will be responsible for making exact measurements, supervising assistants, and ensuring that field engineering work meets plans and specifications.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary resource for accuracy of the field engineering work.
- Read and understand project plans and specifications completely.
- Supervise, train, and coach the Assistant Surveyor.
- Operate surveying equipment, including Trimble GPS units and optical levels.
- Work from engineering plans to establish lines and grades for construction purposes.
- Create cut sheets for street, sewer, water, and storm drainage systems.
- Import and export CAD files, generate plan drawings, and perform quantity take-offs.
- Turn in all required paperwork in a timely manner, including timesheets and accident reports.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with Inspectors, sub-contractors, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Supervise and maintain a clean, neat, and organized survey fleet.
What We Offer
You will receive a competitive salary of $59,000 - $70,000 per year, medical and dental plans, vision insurance, voluntary life insurance, and more. At E-Z Bel Construction, we prioritize your growth and development through tuition reimbursement and Continued Education programs.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Five years of experience and a valid Texas driver's license are necessary.
- Certifications in CST, First Aid, and CPR are preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are desired.
- Basic math, communication, and Microsoft Office skills are essential.
- You must have strong time management, organization, and teamwork abilities.
About This Role
This exempt position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in diverse outdoor environments. The salary range is $59,000 - $70,000 per year, and you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
