Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Management Specialist to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Quality Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Quality Management Leadership and the Organization in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital's overall Quality Improvement (QI), Regulatory and Patient Safety Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize and interpret information obtained from MHS Quality Improvement Technology Platforms as well as external quality data platforms to obtain quality data for benchmarking as assigned.
  • Perform comprehensive, concurrent, and retrospective clinical reviews and abstractions as assigned.
  • Assist in the collection, coordination, formation, implementation, benchmarking and reporting of key performance indicators.
  • Effectively host and/or participate in live or virtual meetings utilizing virtual meeting platforms on-site or from a remote location as needed and as assigned.
  • Work with the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Staff Department Chairpersons on Peer Review activities and prepares QI reports for Medical Department Meetings.
  • Facilitate Medical Staff Peer Review and all activities related to Departmental and Multidisciplinary Peer Review as assigned.
  • Investigate incident reports, patient complaints, patient care issues; act as a resource on quality issues and contribute to problem solving of identified quality/risk issues as assigned.
  • Serve as a resource person to the Medical Staff, Nursing and Ancillary Departments and perform validation audits/rounds and education as needed to assess regulatory/standard compliance as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Accredited Program: Nursing (Required)
  • Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate, Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
