Job Overview

The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reports to corporate accounting reviewers and Stream Partners. This role assists Corporate Accounting leadership with various tasks and ad-hoc requests throughout the month.

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule, offering a balance between flexibility and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process for assigned entities, ensuring journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations are accurately prepared.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports to corporate accounting reviewers and Stream Partners, fostering transparency and trust.
  • Calculate division leader bonuses correctly, as required.
  • Review commission billing and receipt information to determine payroll accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Track investment entities and review documents to record equity pickups accurately.
  • Monitor A/P invoices, post payment batches, and print checks at least weekly, maintaining efficient cash management.
  • Prepare and post customer billings and review and approve cash receipts, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Collaborate with VP of Corporate Accounting to address cash management issues and ensure effective resolution.
  • Conduct special reporting and analytical projects as needed or requested, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is mandatory.
  • Full-cycle accounting experience is essential, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Independent ability to perform calculations and book entries is required.
  • Knowledge of GAAP is necessary, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Commercial real estate industry or Property Management industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to review contracts and identify bonus terms and conditions is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is required, with Yardi or Workday accounting software being a plus.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills are necessary, enabling effective collaboration with partners and internal/external customers.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of financial data are crucial.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Desire to work in a cooperative, productive teamwork environment and willingness to share information with colleagues as appropriate.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive salaries, ranging from $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
