MEPT Design Expert Wanted

A leading Indianapolis-based MEPT engineering, consulting, and design firm is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to their growing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop a variety of mechanical systems, including temperature controls, using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Perform thorough reviews of calculations required for system design, including equipment sizing and selection.
  • Conduct field surveys to determine existing project conditions and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining high-quality design standards.
  • Review and ensure compliance of designs with adopted engineering standards, good engineering practices, and applicable codes.
  • Cross-discipline coordination of MEPT components within Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Facilitate the production of construction documents, including drawings and specifications, for new buildings, renovations, and additions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to ensure design and specification development of mechanical building systems.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Conduct construction site visits to ensure systems are installed according to drawings and specifications.
  • Respond to contractor RFIs and review project shop drawings/submittals.
Qualifications:
  • Four-year accredited program in architecture, engineering, or a related field of study.
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience within the building design sector.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Professional engineering registration or ability to obtain a PE license.
  • Ability to write and edit design specifications.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000
