We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Inn and Spa Loretto in Santa Fe, NM. As a key member of our culinary team, you will maintain the highest standards of quality and service while working closely with our General Manager.

This is a full-time salary position starting at $80,000 per year, plus benefits. If you have a passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the General Manager to maintain the quality and culinary experience of the restaurant.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and positivity with employees, coworkers, and guests.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities, including estimates of food requirements and labor costs.
  • Communicate regularly with Sous Chefs regarding job assignments and required timeframe for workflow at the property.
  • Establish and supervise menus to ensure maximum standards of service are maintained.
  • Perform interviews, hire, disciplinary, and termination actions when necessary for team members.
  • Set performance goals that align with Heritage's plans and vision for the property.
  • Assign, train, and direct Sous Chefs and kitchen team members to carry out basic programs.
  • Uphold company food safety, handling, cleanliness, and sanitation requirements.
  • Solve issues resourcefully and take control of problematic situations.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal communication and multitasking skills.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a first-class hotel or resort.
  • An associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Ability to work eight hours or more in a humid kitchen environment.
  • Capacity to lift/push/reach/carry 30+ pounds frequently.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and late nights.
