Job Summary:
Kaiser Permanente seeks a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse I (LPN I) to join its team. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with colleagues to achieve exceptional health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Patients for Office Visits: Review medical history, collect vital signs, and document patient information in the electronic medical record.
- Complete POE and Address Care Gaps: Ensure patients receive necessary treatments and address any gaps in care during office visits.
- Assist Practitioners: Prepare rooms, equipment, and materials for procedures, and assist practitioners as needed.
- Initiate Interventions and Document Responses: Implement treatment plans and document patient responses according to established workflows and guidelines.
- Participate in Emergency Care: Respond to emergencies and follow protocols set by practitioners or registered nurses.
- Educate Patients: Provide preparation materials and educate patients on diagnostic studies and treatments.
- Schedule Appointments: Coordinate appointments with lab, radiology, or specialty consultations as ordered by practitioners.
- Manage Electronic Messaging: Monitor and manage electronic messages related to patient or provider requests within the scope of practice.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Activities: Collaborate with colleagues to improve departmental or regional quality standards.
- Engage Patients and Families: Involve patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of care and resolve concerns promptly.
- Orient and Train New Team Members: Provide standard work, policy, and procedure training to new team members.
- Supervise Unlicensed Personnel: Assist in supervising unlicensed personnel in the delivery of patient care.

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN/LVN)
License, Certification, Registration:
- Practical Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire
- Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required at hire
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
