Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at WellSpace Health. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing advanced prophylactic dental treatment to patients, including supragingival and sub-gingival scaling, polishing, and applying topical fluoride treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough oral examinations and chart findings to identify areas of calculus deposits and periodontal involvement.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with periodontal disease, including deep scaling and root planning therapy.
  • Provide therapeutic and preventive procedures for patients in all classifications of periodontal disease.
  • Prepare patients for periodontal surgery by performing deep scaling and root planning therapy.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of Dental Assistant training program with a registered Dental Hygienist (R.D.H) License and one year of dental assistance experience.
  • California X-Ray license and pit and fissure sealant license required.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in digital charting and digital radiography (QSI preferred).
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and office practices and procedures.
