Northwest Regional Education Service District is seeking a skilled Healthcare Professional to provide overnight care for students at our Outdoor Science School. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and treating students' health needs, administering medication, and collaborating with school staff to ensure the well-being of our students.

About the Job:
This is an overnight position, requiring the employee to live on-site during the work week. Room and board are provided. The program operates at multiple sites in Northwest Oregon, near Vernonia, Salem, Cloverdale, Rockaway Beach, and Welches. Employee compensation includes 50 hours per week, with a weekly schedule varying from Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday. This position is exempt from state overtime wage regulations due to its seasonal nature.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Healthcare Professional, your duties will include:
- Providing direct care using school health protocols and individualized health plans established by the RN supervisor or medical advisor.
- Administering medication to students according to board policy and district procedures.
- Carrying out mandatory screening programs, collecting data, and completing required reports as directed.
- Collaborating with campus principal, school counselor, teachers, parents, food service, and other staff regarding the health needs of the general population and those students with identified health conditions as directed by the supervising RN.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or GED
- A valid Oregon LPN license issued by the Oregon Board of Nursing
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED card, epinephrine and glucagon certificates; or ability to obtain certificates in at least 30 days of start date
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a hospital, community, or home health clinical setting
- A valid driver's license, vehicle available for use on the job, and accompanying automobile insurance

Estimated Salary:
$28.48-$34.03 per hour (DOE), approximately $58,000-$70,500 annually.
