About the Role

Evergreen Treatment Services is seeking a skilled Addiction Treatment Nurse, RN/LPN to join our team at our South Sound Clinic and Mobile unit. This full-time role involves providing safe and efficient dispensing of doses of methadone to clients, working closely with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.

Job Summary
  • This position plays a critical role in ETS' mission by uplifting the humanity and dignity of each person and walking alongside them on their journey.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medication using the 6 medication rights, managing medication inventories, and documenting patient medical notes in the electronic health record.
  • They will also work collaboratively with Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, or Medical Providers for patient care, orders, or clarification, and address any dosing discrepancies with Nursing Leadership.
Responsibilities
  • Dispense appropriate medication using the 6 medication rights: right patient, medication, dose, time, route, and documentation.
  • Properly manage, monitor, and document the medication inventories each shift.
  • Reconciles inventory of all medications at end of shift.
  • Contact Medical Provider for any dose changes and properly documents in the EHR.
  • Coordinates Guest dosing ensuring dose verifications are completed.
  • Accurately records patient medical notes in the electronic health record.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of racial justice and social equity, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must also be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
