Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonography Specialist to join our team at Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity to work as an Ultrasound Care Provider, providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services in our state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and evaluate sonographic examinations using advanced equipment and techniques.
  • Obtain clinical history and perform physical assessments to determine appropriate testing protocols.
  • Provide technical interpretations of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering medical diagnoses.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care while procedures are in progress, prioritizing comfort, safety, and dignity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from a recognized school of Diagnostic Sonography.
  • National certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
  • CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Two years of experience in General Sonography, Echocardiography, and Vascular ultrasound preferred.

Location and Schedule

This position is located at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Ctr-Kodiak and requires a full-time commitment to a day shift schedule, working 40 hours per week.
