About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PACU Manager to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for maximizing the efficiency of patient flow in our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing management, with experience in directing patient flow and overseeing departmental operations. You will work closely with our anesthesia floor leader, nursing management, and surgeons to determine the most effective use of resources and ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct patient flow and movement within the PACU department.
  • Establish effective communication channels with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of the department.
  • Develop and maintain strategies to minimize overtime and additional staffing needs.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by promoting a positive work environment and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts.
  • Extensive knowledge of patient flow and perianesthesia department operations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
