As a Seasonal Chef Trainer, Savory, you will inspire customers on their culinary journey by delivering exceptional cooking class experiences. About the Role:
The successful candidate will possess strong culinary skills, teaching abilities, and excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include:
• Modeling and directing employees to ensure customer service standards are met.
• Delivering engaging cooking classes using provided recipes and game plans.
• Maintaining product knowledge and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
• Ensuring high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the experience.
• Collaborating with the Resident Chef to achieve store sales goals.
• Providing coaching and performance feedback to Kitchen Assistants.
• Identifying opportunities to increase cooking class and retail sales.
• Managing time effectively and accurately recording worked hours.
• Anticipating and resolving problems efficiently.
• Demonstrating exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Functions:
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to remain stationary for up to 3 hours at a time.
• Ability to move around the workplace while coaching or selling to customers.
• Ability to distinguish differences in intensity or quality of flavors or odors.
• Ability to use hands to chop, whisk, slice, stir, and demonstrate other techniques.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including different times of day, week, and year.
• Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and merchandise scanners.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Ability to lift and/or move merchandise and kitchen equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Culinary degree in Pastry or equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated successful teaching and training experience.
• Valid Food Handlers and/or Food Managers Certification.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proven ability to drive sales and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
Compensation: $17.45 - $19.68 per hour
