Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Community Health Centers. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists in treating patients, preparing patients for treatment, and educating patients on oral health.
- Perform dental procedures, such as taking and developing radiographs, assembling instrument trays, and conducting patient education.
- Verify patient information, obtain patient history, and document patient charts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including operatory disinfections and instrument sterilization.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Dental Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited school or training program, including dental radiology, required.
- Successful completion of Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate (EFDA) within 9 months from date of hire.
- 2 years' experience in a dental setting preferred.
- Ability to effectively use computer software and an electronic health record system.
