We are seeking a highly skilled Maternity Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Morris Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the well-being of childbearing patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care for childbearing patients/families within our single room maternity care philosophy.
  • Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to other members of the patient care team.
  • Maintain accountability for gynecological surgical and childbearing patient/family care outcomes and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will serve as a clinical expert, role model, resource, supervisor, and care integrator for surgical and childbearing patients and their families. You will possess strong leadership and teaching abilities, with the capacity to handle emergency situations effectively.

Requirements
  • CURRENT Illinois license with biennial renewal.
  • Minimum of one year of LDRP or LDR experience required.
  • BASIC electronic fetal heart monitoring class preferred.
  • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • Certified in infant resuscitation (NRP) within 30 days of hire.
  • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
