Job Description

We are seeking an Automotive Conveyor Controls Engineer at CEC Controls Company Inc. This is a unique opportunity to lead and perform the design of control systems, from start to finish, for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Electrical - Experience with automotive electrical conveyor system design and calculations is essential.
  • Networking - Knowledge of ethernet networks is required, with Devicenet knowledge preferred.
  • Programming - General knowledge of conveyor programming tools and requirements is necessary.
  • Mechanical - Autocad electrical, FactoryCad, and Eplan experience is preferred.
  • Standards - Knowledge of General Motors standards and deliverables is advantageous.
  • Customer Communication - Effective communication with customers and supporting engineering teams is crucial.
  • Industrial Controls (PLC & HMI) - In-depth knowledge of industrial controls and automation is a requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills in person and remotely through Microsoft Office365 tools.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years' experience and knowledge in automotive conveyor electrical design is required.
  • General Motors design experience is mandatory.
  • Associates degree or related field, or 2-5 years of automation experience - automotive plant experience is beneficial.
  • Reviewing project specifications and scope of work.
  • Assisting in installation and debug of conveyor systems.
  • Launch and standby support at end-user facilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
  • Self-management working remotely and in the Warren office as required.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from CEC.
  • Up to 25% travel requirement.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
